DID THE REVOLUTIONARY ROAD ACTUALLY REVOLVE?


This movie called REVOLUTIONARY ROAD has disturbed my mind to an enormous extent. I can’t free my mind by not thinking about it. So I felt maybe blogging on this could relieve me to some extent. It’s just a normal story about any random couple falling in love, getting married with 2 kids and 3rd one on its way, happy go lucky couple. The husband earns enough for the family and everything looks so perfect on the outside. It is when you try to peep in that you find the only thing missing in this family was passion, a motivation to live life happily. The couple failed to figure out what could actually make them happy. Would it be making love with other people since they claimed they didn’t love each other anymore, or move away from the emptiness and hollowness of their lives to Paris, or to earn more, be more successful in life, to follow the heart  and achieve dreams…….i don’t understand what went wrong. All they needed was a change and the reason to appreciate their prosperity and well-being. They just got enough of everything and finally ceased to exist. As the movie evolves, I got to know more about their lives. The guy, though well-off was not satisfied with his job, neither was the girl who worked with hopeless people in theatre arts just to become an actor someday. And then after a series of arguments, they finally think about starting a new life in Paris, both jobless. Would that have made a difference? Ya just one thing. The girl might have been alive till the end of story. She tried to self-abort her 3rd child after 12 weeks of pregnancy, and killed herself unfortunately. This was what she exactly wanted perhaps. When you can’t satisfy yourselves with the life you have, you tend to get extremely dangerous and vulnerable. It was not a decision in haste, she took enough time to decide what to do with her life, if not a successful actor or a better job in Paris. In the meanwhile, the husband who refused to listen to his wife and move on to another place got a promotion, some more money and he didn’t mind working in the same boring place till it warmed his pockets. What did he earn anyway I wander……the family was shattered after the girl died…I m still to figure out why she took that step.

FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD.............

A moment of tranquility…….. As soon as I typed the heading it took me to a world that is extraordinarily ecstatic.  There’s no satisfaction greater than the feeling of satisfaction itself.  A world that belongs to you and where everything happens just the way you had anticipated. The Space Time Singularity

My last blog was in 2016, the year of the Horse. It took about 18 months to come back to ground zero. Since then, my overwhelmed friends wanted me to share a story, the remnants of the neurological construct and experiences from recent past.
